With a new president in the White House, Canadians are left to wonder what’s in store for the country’s next chapter.
As Canadians prepare to celebrate the end of the year, Trudeau is keeping mum on the details of his trip.
He told reporters Monday that he was focused on his two-day visit to the United States.
Trudeau has already met with Trump and former President Bill Clinton.
He has also been to Mexico and the United Kingdom.
But on Tuesday, Trudeau said he would not be visiting the U.S. as part of the trip.
“We’re very focused on making sure we’re all on the same page with respect to how to achieve a peaceful transition,” he said.
Trudeau has previously said the country is on a “mission” to unite.
He said Monday that “everyday life is being impacted” by the inauguration of Donald Trump.
“People are coming to work, to schools, to businesses and to the home,” Trudeau said.
“We’re just at the beginning of a process, a process of getting our country together again.”
